Broadway-themed musical production coming to Warrington for one night only

Broadway Nights is a production from the company Birchwood Acts and will be shown at the Thomas Risley Church on Glover Road on Saturday, June 27.

The show, which will be aired at 7.30 pm, will celebrate the very best of Broadway, from its glittering golden age to more current classics.

Some of the songs shown in the production will include those from iconic musicals such as Kiss me Kate, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Cabaret, Chicago, Oliver, The Sound of Music, Hamilton, Wicked, Waitress, Billy Elliot, Frozen, The Lion King, and Anastasia.

Oliver Ormson, the director and choreographer of the event, is a former West End star himself and is also from Birchwood.

Ticket prices are £10 for an adult and £8 for a concession, and the show will last for two hours.

The short run time will allow any football fans to make it back home in time to watch the England game later that night.

Jacqueline Sheridan, from Birchwood Acts, said: “We really want to make Broadway Nights a huge success because in early 2027, we will be doing our annual pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.

“It promises to be a stellar production, with the script written and adapted by Oliver Ormson.”
