A water rescue operation was launched on Saturday night (July 8) after a person fell from a bridge in Warrington.
The incident happened at Padgate Brook near Connaught Avenue shortly after 11pm. Four fire engines – supported by a rescue boat unit, an aerial ladder platform and a rope rescue unit – attended the scene.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to reports of a person who had fallen from a bridge and into water in Connaught Avenue, Warrington.
“Crews rescued one person from the water and handed them into the care of paramedics.”
