Police, firefighters and paramedics are currently at the scene of a blaze on a Cheshire estate. Three fire engines and an aerial ladder platform have all been went to Westbrook Crescent in Warrington.
Meanwhile a police cordon has also been set up on the estate. The alarm had been raised just after 9.05am this morning.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent three engines from Warrington, Penketh, and Widnes. The aerial ladder platform was called from Chester.
The service say they responded to reports of a blaze involving a conservatory at the rear of a property. All occupants have been accounted for and ‘moved to safety’.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus initially tackled the fire with two hose reel jets and a high-pressure fan. Firefighters entered the loft space from inside the property and brought in the aerial ladder platform to dampen down signs of fire spread to the roof from the outside – they also had to remove some of the roof tiles.
“Paramedics were also in attendance, but no one is believed to have received any treatment. Police have established a cordon while emergency services deal with the incident.”
