We tried Daresbury Dairy’s new Christmas ice cream flavours

The farm launched its seasonal specials earlier this month, with the line-up combining old favourites and new creations.

We decided to try four different flavours – black forest, Turkish delight, white chocolate and hazelnut, and amaretto and cherry.

“The black forest ice cream is definitely one for chocolate fans,” my friend said.

She also commented on the way the notes of cherry mixed beautifully with the chocolate.

My ice cream of choice, the white chocolate and hazelnut, was incredibly creamy and smooth.

It tasted identical to a Kinder Bueno and felt like the perfect pick-me-up on a rainy day.

The Turkish delight also received top marks and was described as “very refreshing and light.”

However, it was the amaretto and cherry that stole the show – and this was perhaps to be expected, with the flavour having received national recognition in the Great Taste Awards and the Ice Cream Alliance Golden Scoop Awards.

This flavour was deliciously indulgent and rich, and left us all wanting more.

In addition to individual scoops and take-home tubs, the dairy is also bringing back its Christmas Tasting Selection Pack.

This boxed set features six 120ml tubs of the festive flavours, ideal for sampling the range or gifting to others.

Handcrafted ice cream cake desserts will also be available for order from mid-November 2026, providing a unique option for festive gatherings and Christmas dinners.

Visitors can try out the festive flavours at Daresbury Dairy, Penkridge Lake Farm, Newton Lane, Daresbury, during the farm’s opening hours, Wednesday to Sunday, 12 pm to 5 pm.
