Former England and Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman helped reopen Go Outdoors at its grand reopening event.
The sportsman greeted the first 200 people who entered the doors of the Wilson Patten Street store with a free goody bag.
The celebrations continued throughout the day, with family entertainment including a DJ and face painting.
Store manager Andrew O’Connor said: “We are extremely excited and proud to open the newly refurbished Go Outdoors.
“We have had a brilliant couple of years, as more and more people are reaping the benefits of the outdoors for their physical and mental wellbeing, and this expansion is the outcome of that success.
“We are looking forward to offering more customers our unbeatable range of outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment, while also supporting communities and offering jobs in Warrington.”
The newly refurbished store has free customer parking and stocks brands such as Rab, OEX and Berghaus, as well as Peter Storm, Hi-Gear and Brasher.
The 23,600 foot store offers services such as boot and rucksack fitting, as well as collection and drop-off points for parcels from online orders, Evri, UPS and DPD collections.
There is also be an In-Post facility where customers can collect parcels throughout the day.
