Cappadocia Turkish restaurant on Mersey Street in Warrington welcomed families from charity Families United (FUN) for an evening designed with accessibility and comfort in mind.
Owner Nikko offered a selection of ‘fussy’ friendly foods for disabled children and served a delicious banquet for parents and carers.
Rachael Penn, a parent who attended the event, said: “To be welcomed and most importantly accepted with my two disabled children brought a tear to my eye, we rarely go to restaurants due to feared stares when my son, who is in a wheelchair, stims loudly or has a meltdown so to be embraced into a place that is so inclusive meant the world to me and my children.
“Nikko danced with the children, had an Arfid-friendly menu ready for them, and treated us parent/carers like royalty!”

The evening was captured by Warrington business A&A Media, giving families lasting memories.
Cappadocia is also supporting FUN’s Big Build project, which launches on July 16 with a fundraiser at the restaurant.
The fundraiser aims to help the charity secure a permanent base in Warrington.
Claire Caddick, CEO of Families United, said: “In the absence of a village, we built our own, but every village needs a home, and this is finally becoming a reality after the charity has been helping over 500 families across the borough for 23 years.
“We are so excited to be able to make this happen for our members; however, we need the whole community to get involved and want to make it a forever home with facilities that support all residents, not just our families.
“We are calling on local businesses, tradesmen/women, and residents to get involved and make a big impact for such a worthy cause and future.”
