Warrington South MP Sarah Hall described the ‘creativity and talent’ shown by children who entered the competition and submitted their designs for her annual Christmas card.

But the winning design which will feature on all her Christmas cards to be sent out this year was from Broomfield’s Junior School year three pupil Georgia.

During a special visit to the school on Wednesday, Sarah awarded the Appleton pupils with a certificate, her prize, and presented the official Christmas card featuring her design.

I am delighted to showcase their wonderful designs on my Christmas card and share the festive spirit with our communities here in Warrington and beyond.

“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the children from across Warrington South who participated in my first annual Christmas card competition. The entries were fantastic, and choosing a winner from the hundreds of designs was incredibly challenging.

“However, Georgina’s design, featuring Warrington’s famous Golden Gates glistening amidst glittery Christmas trees and snowflakes, captured the spirit of the season perfectly.

“A special congratulations must also go to our two runners-up, Jerosh and Ellie, for their creativity and hard work.

“The three winning designs, which feature on the card, have earned the artists a special certificate and gift. I would also like to express my thanks to our prize sponsors: Gulliver’s World, Warrington Wolves, and Woodlands Alpaca Farm for their generosity.”
