Pride organisers call for acts to make 2026 the ‘loudest, proudest year yet’

Warrington Pride 2026 will return on Saturday, June 13, from 12pm to 7pm at Old Market Gate in Golden Square, transforming the town centre into a celebration of LGBTQ+ pride and creativity.

Drew from Drews Dirty Disco, who are coordinating this year’s programme alongside the Golden Square events team, said: “Warrington has a massive heart and even bigger talent.

“We want to showcase the diversity and creativity of our local community and make 2026 a year to remember.”

The organisers have issued a “call for artists” to headline the main stage and are seeking a wide range of performers.

They would like to see drag kings, queens, and non-binary icons, as well as vocalists, dance troupes, and variety acts that can bring something fresh and exciting to the stage.

Applications are now open, but organisers warn that performance slots are limited.

Artists wishing to take part are asked to email applications to Drewsdirtydisco@outlook.com.

Submissions should include an expression of interest, a short bio, and links to performance clips such as videos, social media reels, or audio files.

Warrington Pride positions itself as a grassroots and community-driven event.

Organisers have explained that, due to minimal private sponsorship and a commitment to keeping the festival accessible, all performers are asked to donate their time and talent.

No performance fees will be available, in keeping with the event’s community ethos.

This year’s event promises to be the biggest and loudest celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.
