Zeytin Mediterranean Restaurant is in the running for the Best Mediterranean Establishment in The Food Awards 2025.
The eatery opened on Bridge Street back in April 2023, aiming to bring it ‘back to life’.
It is owned by Grappenhall resident Ozgur Gecim and offers Mediterranean food with a Turkish twist.
The menu features the likes of platters, kebabs, pizzas, seafood and even roast dinners on Sundays. And a whole range of drinks can be found, including cocktails.
Meanwhile, Choy Hing Village in Grappenhall has been named as a finalist in the Best Oriental Establishment category.
The Chinese restaurant has been based in Grappenhall for more than 35 years.
As well as welcoming a whole host of celebrities – including football legend Sir Alex Ferguson – it has also featured in a huge TV advert for Three mobile network.

The Food Awards England are held annually and celebrate some of the best establishments across the country.
They look to recognise the talent, dedication and passion displayed by the restaurants, chefs and suppliers.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on Monday, November 17.
